Restore Your Smile & Bite With Dentures in Plymouth

Restore Your Smile

Dentures have come a long way in recent years. Modern dentures are much better than the “false teeth” you might remember from many years ago – especially when you get them at Chad W. Barber, DDS. In our Plymouth, MI dentist office, Dr. Barber can fit you with custom dentures that will:

  • Restore your biting and chewing power.
  • Help you enjoy crunchy, healthy foods or even chewy, decadent ones.
  • Give you a new smile you can be confident in.
  • Make speaking easier so you can be understood without repeating yourself.
  • Aid your digestion with more thorough chewing.
  • Give you a younger, more attractive appearance.

Dentures Options

As one of the premier restoration options at Chad W. Barber, DDS, it’s not always a question of whether to get dentures or not – but rather which dentures option is best for you. You have all these choices:

  • Conventional Full Dentures – You can enjoy a full arch of new teeth on your upper or lower jaw (or both) with these sturdy dentures. They are easily removable for daily cleaning and care.
  • Conventional Partial Dentures – If you have some healthy teeth still in place, partials will fill in your smile and make eating easier. They secure to your other teeth and can also be removed easily for cleaning.
  • Implant-Reatined Dentures – This style of denture attaches to dental implants using a secure system of snaps and balls. They give you a more comfortable and stable fit than traditional dentures but can be removed when necessary. Plus, the implants help protect your jawbone against deterioration.
  • Implant-Supported Dentures – These are similar to implant-retained dentures but instead secure to a bar that runs along your implants. They will provide you the most secure and comfortable fit among dentures, plus they protect your jawbone as well.
  • Temporary Dentures – They leave you with a new set of teeth immediately after your other teeth have been removed: give you with a new set of teeth immediately after your other teeth have been removed. You won’t be embarrassed by not having teeth while you’re waiting for your final restoration to be made.
